Betuned offers a global solution to make recruitment more effective.
How, for a recruiting organization, to effectively address the profiles sought? Where, for a candidate, can you find ads that are likely to be of real interest to him? “It often takes between three and ten clicks to find a job offer on the Internet and, in general, the experience is not very sexy. Candidates don't really know where to look anymore. And 30-35 year olds don't even know recruitment sites anymore,” notes Amélie Alleman, founder of Betuned, which aims to “connect candidates and employers in an authentic and innovative way.” “We want to position ourselves differently on a recruitment market that remains fairly traditional”, assures this quadrant from Sambreville.
With a degree in communication, Amélie Alleman worked first as an assistant manager in a fast food restaurant, before completely changing direction and joining a recruitment company specialized in IT. In 2009, she created her own consulting and IT recruitment company (sold since then) and then a second one in the same field. Anxious to reinvent the recruitment offer, she launched Betuned at the end of 2019.
Initially, it offers videos of companies that are recruiting to show candidates the DNA of the company and the other side of the picture. “We go into the company and we interview the manager and colleagues with whom the future candidate will be working. It is interesting for him because they speak the same language. It also allows him to see his future colleagues directly. There's a very psychological side to it: 'Do I want to work with these people or not? '” , explains Amélie Alleman. Video also allows the company to stand out. “To be able to recruit, you have to differentiate yourself. It is important to create an employer brand.” Betuned also does consultancy in this field.
The formula quickly pleases. Six months later, the start-up already employed six people and had around twenty customers. As it developed, Betuned added a second service to its offer: the creation of digital marketing campaigns in order to find the best profiles on social networks. The idea is to find candidates where they are with the right media (video, in this case) and on the right channel. “For example, if we are looking for an electrician, a welder or a junior commercial profile, we will prefer TikTok, Facebook or Instagram. If we are recruiting a senior finance profile, we will go to LinkedIn. We pay the media so that the right people see the video that's meant for them.
Digital marketing makes it possible to target talent”, specifies Amélie Alleman, who can search for all types of profiles “because we are going to look for candidates where they are”.
Then, all that remains is to convert these profiles into potential candidates for the company. To do this, just a month ago, Betuned launched a new service: the creation of the corporate career site. “We talked to ten customers, out of the seventy that we have, and six have already signed”, details Amélie Alleman. “We facilitate the work of recruiters by scanning CVs using artificial intelligence. Among the applications received, there is directly the list of the best profiles.”
Betuned thus now offers a global recruitment solution. Customers can opt for these three services or take them separately.
The start-up now employs fifteen people and is still hiring. “At the beginning of the year, we have already doubled the total turnover of last year, with 1.4 million euros”, says Amélie Alleman, who has also joined the Boost program of the Brussels Entrepreneurship Network. She has just returned from a three-day workshop during which she prepared the company's three-year growth plan. In terms of financing, Betuned received 250,000 euros in a loan from finance.brussels and, at the end of December, received the support of two private individuals who invested 250,000 euros in total. “We expect to raise more funds within a year or a year and a half. To be confirmed.”
